More Information on the NJ Naval Base Lockdown
Before reading this story, you will want to check out the article entitled "Lockdown at NJ Navy Base."
I have been able to gather a little more information on the New Jersey Naval Base situation. There were two incidents this morning which caused the lockdown. #1 - Reports of gun shots that were later proven false. #2 - A truck driver was stopped at a gate and was given a citation for carrying a handgun.
We have also learned a little more about the "Bush loving, tea party attending, racist, regular white man" that caused the scare. Not only is he a man, but he was a FedEx truck driver. Not only is FedEx a competitor of the government-run postal service, but think of the carbon footprint all of those gas guzzlers have left behind! In addition to that, he was carrying a handgun, which should have already been taken away by the government.
This is another crisis that shouldn't be left without grabbing some power. It't too bad that the President is hosting a barbecue instead of using this situation to take over FedEx, tighten carbon restrictions, and establish more gun control!
