Tour of Missouri 2009: Stage 2

Mark Cavendish keeps setting Tour of Missouri records. In his second Tour of Missouri, he continues to win more stages.

Today’s stage from Ste. Genevieve to Rush Limbaugh’s hometown, Cape Girardeau saw a break get caught in the final few miles heading into the finish. Team Columbia once again set Cavendish up; however, Thor Hushovd thought it was going to be his day as he neared the finish line at blazing speed. Cavendish rocketed past Hushovd like he was standing still for the win. Missouri is seeing what may possibly the greatest sprinter in cycling history dominate again this year.
Remember get out there and support the Tour of Missouri. I would hate to see this amazing event get scratched after three brilliant years because of a political battle in Jefferson City.

Sorry about the captcha. I hate them just like you, but the spambots have gotten ridiculous.
